It is much better to present a solid strong logo that is easy to remember than a complex logo with interpretations that have to be mulled over, or too many fonts and colours. This leads to confusion. Your audience will remember a simplistic design more readily than an overly complex design with all the bells and whistles or text effects which don’t scale down readily forcing you to lose legibility.

Consultation and Brief
Once the brief has been submitted, we’ll get in touch with you to discuss the project more fully and get to know you.
Research
The Research and Discovery phase involves researching as much as possible to do with your brand. We use mind-maps and we’ll investigate colours, styles and fonts.
Development
When we have everything in place, we’ll set about developing your concept on paper initially which sets the tone for the project.
Digital Development
Once we have sketched a few concepts it’s on to the digital drawing board where ideas are developed, explored further and finalised.
Presentation
When we feel that your logo is ready for submission, we’ll present it to you. This will be done on a master layout. Revisions and alterations can be made if required.
Payment and Delivery
When all facets of the project are approved and finalised, you can take delivery of your brand. We’ll upload the files to a shared folder in Dropbox and you can download it.

We want to create the best experience possible for you. Each project is undertaken with care and consideration and tailored to suit your requirements. If you don’t have the time or availability to confer with us and would prefer minimal contact that’s perfectly fine. We get it, just let us know and we will do our best to ensure your requests are met.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
The time frame for each package will differ from project to project and bundle to bundle. It will be guided though by client response and feedback. It takes time to craft a unique design, at Southern Cross graphics we take the time to consider market trends, colours and prospective visibility of your brand irrespective of the brand package you acquire. Please allow an adequate time-frame of between 18 -28 days.
COMMUNICATION
Briefing for your design today can take place in many ways. If for some reason we cannot meet on a more personal and intimate level, discussions can take place via telephone, or if you prefer video calls. Your experience with Southern Cross graphics will not be bound by a specified amount of emails or calls. Communication through the design phase is maintained via unlimited email, phone and video support throughout the creative stage of the project. We are however, mindful of your time and value ours equally as much.

HOW IS EACH STAGE DELIVERED
We use a combination of programs to interact with the client to communicate effectively. For large scaled projects, your personalised Trello board will advise you upon progress or notify you via email that an item has been it is ready for you to view. This is your opportunity to provide necessary feedback about either the direction of your brand is moving or the changes you wish to make. This process helps to streamline each stage providing clarity and helps us move through the design process more quickly and efficiently.

WHAT FILES ARE PROVIDED
You will receive your final logo in the most popular formats for future use. These include native file AI and vector files as an EPS and high resolution PDF. You will also receive your logo in both a small and large version ready for web as either a JPG or PNG.
HOW DO I RECEIVE THESE PRODUCTS?
An arrangement will be made for you to download your digital files and images from a shared Dropbox folder. If you would also prefer a backup hard copy of these files and images you can purchase you with a USB from us for a minimal fee of $10 which will include postage.
ARE THEY EDITABLE?
All final projects are set pieces and unable to be edited. You can if you prefer, purchase the original design files for an additional charge upfront at the cost of $150/file; however this arrangement must be noted prior to commencement of the project.
I LIKE THE COLLATERAL, WHO ORDERS?
Southern Cross graphics does provide the option for print management of your collateral. We can obtain 3 quotes for you to choose from. All prices are exclusive of gst unless otherwise noted. Deadlines for printing will vary but it is standard to allow between 7-10 working days. All printing must be paid upfront and in whole before it can be commenced. Unless otherwise noted, shipping costs are not included.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO BEFORE THE PROJECT STARTS?
Before the commencement of your project, it is essential that you complete the questionnaire about your project in as much detail as possible. Short one-word responses will not provide a great overview of the brief and could impede the finished product. A Pinterest Inspiration Moodboard will also need to be completed.
WHAT SHOULD I HAVE READY BY MY PROJECT START DATE?
Please provide all of your professional contact details (email, physical and/or mailing address and phone numbers) just in case it is required for your project. It’s also a good idea to seriously think about your social media handles and website URL or domain names if you haven’t done so before now.
FEEDBACK
Depending on the project you will have the opportunity to provide necessary feedback which is integral to the direction of your brand. During this phase a mutual date will be agreed upon and set in place so that all feedback is returned wholly. Responses such as I hate it or it doesn’t work for me unfortunately do not provide a suitable direction. If you feel you have trouble critiquing the design we can provide you with a short design feedback survey. It is a necessary part of moving forward in the design process that feedback is provided.
WHAT PROGRAMS DO WE USE?
Southern Cross graphics have the full suite of Adobe Creative Cloud. To create your design we will work in either Photoshop or Illustrator to develop and design your brand.

WHAT’S OUR SCHEDULE LIKE?
So that we can provide and maintain a high level of service and quality your brand deserves we will usually only have 2-3 projects in progress at the same time. This gives us the opportunity to work closely with our clients and we can respond much faster as we can apply changes or edits almost immediately.
HOW DO I PAY?
After authorising your proposal or quote, your branding is billed in two components: we require a 50% upfront fee when you book your project and the remainder upon completion.
