Both pricing variations are led by industry professional standards and based on the average fee. There is no set-fee, as each project is different; governed by complexity, revision rounds and response. Every one of our clients needs presents a different solution.

Our estimations are ball-park figures only and based upon professional industry-standard expectations. We try to keep our costs as low as possible for our clients and will often gauge output by worth, not what it should really cost. We don’t see why you should bear the brunt of excessive pricing.

We want to create the best experience possible for you. Each project is undertaken with care and consideration and tailored to suit your requirements. If you don’t have the time or availability to confer with us and would prefer minimal contact that’s perfectly fine. We get it, just let us know and we will do our best to ensure your requests are met.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?


The time frame for each package will differ from project to project and bundle to bundle. It will be guided though, by client response and feedback. We don’t just knock up a template and use it time and time again. We also understand that time is of the essence, and it is important for you to get the job back as soon as possible. However, we make it a priority to work closely with our clients. We will usually only have two or three jobs on the go at the same time; that way our focus is on you and we can successfully complete your project on time and on budget.

COMMUNICATION


Unless it is a large project, we find most projects can commence without the need for face-to-face discussions. However, that being said we would prefer the initial conversation and revisions to be communicated by voice (telephone or video chat), with a follow-up email, so that a paper trail can easily be followed. We can double-check the alterations and revisions easily. Over the phone revisions will not be accepted, so please don’t ask.

WHAT’S INCLUDED


Most design projects will be charged out on an hourly basis. However, there are some that can be charged out on a per-project basis. So that we can design the best product for you, we consider current market trends. We also explore fonts and colours before we deliver a draft proof for you to offer necessary feedback of your brand in the research and development phase of your project.

HOW IS EACH STAGE DELIVERED


At this stage, most of the conversations we have will be personally or digitally. A draft proof will be emailed for you to revise. This is your opportunity to provide necessary feedback about either the direction of your brand is moving or the changes you wish to make. This process helps to streamline each stage providing clarity and helps us move through the design process more quickly and efficiently.

Each package includes a specified number of designs, revisions and collateral specifically for your brand. Irrespective of the package you choose, we will, at Southern Cross graphics carefully consider current market trends, colours and prospective visibility of your brand in the research and design phase of your project.

 

WHAT FILES ARE PROVIDED


Your final design files (unless otherwise organised and paid for) will be sent via email or Dropbox and will be in the most popular format – as an uneditable high-resolution PDF suitable for commercial printing.

HOW DO I RECEIVE THESE PRODUCTS?


An arrangement will be made for you to download your digital files from a shared Dropbox folder. If you would also prefer a backup hard copy of these files and images you can purchase a USB from us for a minimal fee of $10 which will include postage.

ARE THEY EDITABLE?


All final projects are set pieces and unable to be edited. You can, if you prefer,  purchase the original design files for an additional charge upfront at the cost of $150/file; however, this arrangement must be noted prior to the commencement of the project.

I LIKE THE COLLATERAL, WHO ORDERS?


Southern Cross graphics do provide the option for print management of your collateral. We can obtain up to 3 quotes for you to choose from. All prices are exclusive of gst unless otherwise noted. Deadlines for printing will vary but it is standard to allow between 7-10 working days. All printing must be paid upfront and in whole, before it can be commenced. Unless otherwise noted, shipping costs are not included.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO BEFORE THE PROJECT STARTS?


Before the commencement of your project, it is essential that you complete the questionnaire about your project in as much detail as possible. Short one-word responses will not provide a great overview of the brief and could impede the finished product. You can if you like to provide a mood board or some images of styles you like, however, you need not spend much time on this. We can usually gauge the direction of your design by the copy and format of the end-product.

WHAT SHOULD I HAVE READY BY MY PROJECT START DATE?


Please provide all of your professional contact details (email, physical and/or mailing address and phone numbers) just in case it is required for your project. It’s also a good idea to seriously think about your social media handles and website URL or domain names if you haven’t done so before now.

FEEDBACK


Depending on the project you will have the opportunity to provide necessary feedback which is integral to the direction of your brand. During this phase, a date will be a mutual date will be agreed upon and set in place so that all feedback is returned wholly. Responses such as I hate it or it doesn’t work for me, unfortunately, do not provide a suitable direction. If you feel you have trouble critiquing the design we can provide you with a short design feedback survey. It is a necessary part of moving forward in the design process that feedback is provided.

WHAT PROGRAMS DO WE USE?


Southern Cross graphics have the full suite of Adobe Creative Cloud. To create your design we will work in either Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign to develop and design your brand. We do have Quark Xpress, but prefer to use Creative Cloud over Quark.

WHAT’S OUR SCHEDULE LIKE?


So that we can provide and maintain a high level of service and quality your brand deserves we will usually only have 2-3 projects in progress at the same time. This gives us the opportunity to work closely with our clients and we can respond much faster as we can apply changes or edits almost immediately.

HOW DO I PAY?


After authorising your proposal or quote, your project can be billed either of two ways. 1. As an upfront fee or 2. In stages:  50% upfront when you book your project and the remainder upon completion.
